Vinyasa yoga combines sequences of flowing movement synchronised to the breath. Yoga asana flows smoothly as poses run together and become almost dance-like. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.

The literal translation of vinyasa from Sanskrit is ‘connection’. The practice itself is sometimes considered a ‘moving meditation’, bringing a flowing connection between mind, body & breath.

There are many wonderful benefits that we can appreciate from regular Vinyasa practice. Physically, sweat releases toxins and re-energises our bodies. Mentally the synchronised breathing relaxes the chatter of the mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout our bodies.




I was fortunate enough to discover my love of yoga when I was pregnant with my first child. I realise how lucky I was to find a lovely yoga teacher who helped me greatly with both breathing and connection with my body during pregnancy.

I returned to more regular practice after having my babies, and I now have been practising for over 8 years and could not imagine my life without it. I decided to deepen my knowledge and practise by making my teacher training a reality. I qualified in early 2016 and feel unbelievably fortunate to be able to share with others my love of yoga and all the wonderful benefits it bestows.
